I love this city. I love the people, the golden dome, the shops, the woods, the river, the fact that Montpelier is the smallest state capital in the nation, and the one with the biggest heart. Montpelier has given me and my family a home. Now I would like to give back.
I’ve spent my entire career in service to rural communities, as a Peace Corps volunteer and administrator, as an Area Director at USDA Rural Development VT/NH, and in my current job as President of the Preservation Trust of Vermont. I’ve worked across Vermont helping communities improve their quality of life and increase their economic vitality. I’ve worked with them to articulate a hopeful vision for the future and save the places they love. I have the experience, skill, and commitment to do the same in my hometown.
The 2023 flood was a pivotal moment for our community and for me personally. I recognized that the city I love, the one that my kids were born in, was at risk. I believe that together we can make a difference. That’s why I’m asking for your vote and the chance to lead.
